Performer, Educator & International Artist
Andrea Andreoli earned his diploma in Trombone from the G. Verdi Conservatory in Como, studying with Pierluigi Salvi and Fulvio Clementi. He later completed a Master’s degree in Jazz Trombone at the G. Verdi Conservatoy in Milano under the guidance of Giovanni Falzone.
Throughout his career, Andreoli won the audition for principal trombone with the renowned Norrbotten Big Band (Sweden) and has collaborated with many leading figures in the international jazz scene, including the WDR Big Band, Billy Cobham, Incognito, Maria Schneider, Vince Mendoza, Marshall Gilkes, Fred Hersch, Elliot Mason, Lew Soloff, Bob Mintzer, Bill Laurance, Randy Brecker, Erich Marienthal, Mike Mainieri, Dave Weckl, Paolo Fresu, Enrico Rava, Enrico Intra, and Tino Tracanna.
He has performed regularly at major jazz festivals in Italy and abroad, including the London Jazz Festival, Torino Jazz Festival, Bergamo Jazz, Bülach Jazz Festival, Malta Jazz Festival, and Freiberg Jazz Tage, among others.
His discography features a wide range of national and international collaborations, with recording credits alongside the WDR Big Band, Fred Hersch, Vince Mendoza, Bob Mintzer, Bill Laurance, Enrico Intra, Norrbotten Big Band, Vein Trio, Mina, Malika Ayane, Mario Biondi, and Francesco Guccini.
In 2020, Andrea Andreoli received a Grammy Award nomination for his work on Begin Again by Fred Hersch and the WDR Big Band.
He is a sought-after studio musician, regularly contributing to film scores, TV soundtracks, commercial jingles, musicals, and a wide range of music productions. In the pop world, he has toured with Malika Ayane and Mario Biondi, performing in prestigious venues and theaters throughout Italy and internationally. In 2024, he joined Billy Cobham’s European tour with the Spectrum 50 and Time Machine projects.
Andreoli was awarded the Gorni Kramer Prize in 2019 and was honored with the title Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, an honor conferred on the recommendation of the Prime Minister.
He currently serves as Professor of Jazz Trombone at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan.
