David Bobroff started playing trombone in eighth grade in Talladega, Alabama. Two years later the new band director bribed him into playing bass trombone. He never looked back.
David studied with Dr. James E. Roberts at Jacksonville State University (Jacksonville, Alabama) and then at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with Tony Chipurn.
David toured with the Glenn Miller Orchestra for five years before taking up his current position as bass trombonist of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra (Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands). He is also a member of the Reykjavík Big Band (Stórsveit Reykjavíkur).
While bass trombone is his primary instrument David has also performed on contrabass trombone, euphonium, bass trumpet and, on occasion, French C tuba.
