The GC5-3R features an independent valve section with 2-piece red brass bell. The bell has an unsoldered rim that provides rich overtones in the timbre as well as a wide range of colors at various dynamics. The rose brass handslide with nickel crook provides a flexible, yet brilliant articulation. Standard tuning is F/Gb/D.
GC5-3Y
The GC5-3Y features an independent valve section and a 2-piece yellow brass bell. The bell has an unsoldered rim that provides a consistent tone color throughout the range of the instrument as well as a broad sound. The rose brass handslide with nickel crook provides a flexible, yet brilliant articulation. Standard tuning is F/Gb/D.
GC5-2R
The GC5-2R features a dependent valve section with 2-piece red brass bell. GC5 Tuning-in-Slide (TIS) bass trombones are an exciting reintroduction to a century’s-old approach to bass trombone design. By eliminating bell tuning and structuring the bell to have a continuously conical profile, these bass trombones produce a beautifully free and even sound.
