greenhoe trombone components

Greenhoe trombone components are made of the finest materials available and are designed with both function and aesthestics in mind. Greenhoe design and the finest craftsmanship create components that comprise some of the finest trombones available. Valve sections, slides and many of our other components can be mated to your current instrument by our shop of trombone artisan-craftsmen.
Greenhoe Valve sections

Greenhoe valve sections feature the patented Greenhoe rotary valve providing unmatched response and clarity. They also feature Greenhoe Sonic Suspension which allows the valve tubing to float away from the bell with connection only to cross bracing, thus permitting the bell to vibrate more freely. Tubing in the valve section is available in both yellow and red brass. Valve sections can be retrofitted to any trombone.
Leadpipes

Greenhoe leadpipes are designed to give each player options in timbral and response characteristics. They are threaded to fit the mouthpiece receiver snugly. Greenhoe Handslides come with either two or three interchangeable leadpipes, depending on the model.
Thumbrest

The Greenhoe Thumbrest is designed to reduce strain on the hand, wrist and forearm. It is particularly popular among bass trombonists and players with smaller hands.
Straight Goosnecks

Straight goosenecks are preferred by some players in soloistic playing when the valve is not needed.
Handslides and Handslide crooks

Handslide and crook material have a direct effect on both the response and timbral characteristics of the instrument. Current options in both slides and crooks include yellow brass and red brass with the possibility to mix slide tube and crook material. Tenor trombone hand slides are available with both wide and narrow crooks. Wider crooks tend to broaden the sound while narrower crooks provide a more focused core to the sound
Tuning Slides

Tuning slide material has a direct effect on response and timbral characteristics of the instrument. Current options include yellow brass and red brass.
