Sonic Suspension™ InformationGary Greenhoe knew for years that the trombone vibrates from the mouthpiece to the end of the bell. We designed a bracing system that was strong enough to keep the tubes in position when the horn is secured in the case, and still allow the valve section to vibrate at its own frequency, independent of the trombone. The net result is a lively feel to the horn, and more efficient sound production. You can even feel the horn vibrate in your hand! We spend many hours experimenting with placement, to achieve no nodal interference and deadening of the sound. The Sonic Suspension™ is an integral part of the Greenhoe Valve Section and is present on all our models. |
